Words from this week's Sermon

final-answerOludare Akinbo. We are faced with all forms of situations in life, both personal and within our physical and spiritual families. When push comes to shove, what would be our decision and resolve after many years of endurance? What will our final answer be and will it be firm and consistent, so that we can indeed inherit the Kingdom of God and have the blessings our Father has prepared for us? Will our final answer be like Caleb, who did not look to the real fact of the giants and their giant fortified walls, but focused on what God had done, has promised to do and simply has a heart willing and ready to go and take the mountain! (Joshua 14:6-12). The Obstacles would be real, but if our focus and vision is upwards and ahead to the One who is the Creator of the Universe,of whom the scripture says "For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him" (II Chro 16:9) then our final answer to all life's challenges, dissapointment and troubles would be one of faith, hope, forgiveness, and we would have been growing to more the like our elder brother, and Lord, Jesus Christ!

"Come unto me, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and you shall find rest unto your souls."

St. Mathew 11:28
